Possible New Natural Product for Psorasis
Taiwanese researchers have announced the results of controlled study comparing a natural herbal Chinese medicine, indigo naturalis, with the vehicle. They report a 81% improvement in erythema, scaling and plaque clearing vs 26% for the vehicle. 75% after 12 weeks of therapy were clear vs 3% of those treated with the vehicle. Drawbacks to use is slow response and discoloration of the skin at the treatment site
Imiquimod (Aldara) clears 87% of superficial Basal Cell Carcinoma for over 5 years!
A European study shows about 90% of patients using 5% Imiquimod Cream daily for 5 days a week for 6 weeks cleared their lesions and 78% remained clear for 5 years. Imiquimod is approved by the FDA for the treatment of superficial Basal Cell Carcinomas, pre cancerous actinic keratoses, and external genital and peri-anal warts.
